Of course the masturbation diet is too good to be true!

There are tons of diets out there intended to cater your every need, but there's a new one that's quite a handful: the masturbation diet. Your self-pleasing past time is no longer meant to simply relieve you of sexual tension, but help you drop the pounds too! Although it isn't described as gender specific diet, a Japanese 28-year-old man credits it to his recent weight loss.

Now, all joking aside, this is an actual thing. Take for example, the case of "Yutchi Ito." Yuchi Ito is the alias of the man who tried out the masturbation diet and said it worked to help him lose weight. According to men's magazine Nikkan Spa, the man lost almost 10 pounds in two months by taking care of his diet and having sex … with himself.

The catch is the number of TIMES Yutchi Ito had to relieve himself daily. Reportedly, he would masturbate three to five times daily, maybe seven on a good day, and in a matter of a two month, voila, he lost almost ten pounds.

It turns out that Yutchi Ito gained weight after graduating from high school and decided it was time to buckle down and lose the pounds. Normally most people turn to the gym if they're looking to get back in shape, but no, not this man. Instead he decided to self stimulate which the internet told him is the equivalent to running a 200 meter race. Ew. Ouch.

But what's the verdict on this messy weight loss strategy? Dr. Satoshi Yoshijima a doctor of internal medicine and dermatologist told the magazine that it is not the best idea to embark on this diet because of the negative effects it may have on the body. "The issue with the effectiveness of this diet is that while you are exhausting your body, you are not consuming calories by using physical strength," he explained. Plus, too much masturbation can actually affect your hormone levels.

So, sorry, ladies and gentlemen, there is no shortcut to weight loss except your cut and dry diet of eating well and exercising. Not only does the masturbation diet sound painful, but who actually has time to sit at home and play with themselves daily? However, the one thing I learned from all of this is that now I understand how most teen boys manage to stay so slim.
