Drink coffee: Coffee alone is not going to help you lose weight. However, if you incorporate it into a healthy diet and exercise routine it can help you to drop a few extra pounds. Why? The caffeine found in coffee stimulates your central nervous system which works to increase your metabolic rate. A raise in your metabolism helps you to burn more calories per second regardless of if you're engaging in physical activity or not.
Sleeping more: By now you should know that fewer hours of sleep with time slow down your metabolism. Getting at least 7.5 hours of quality sleep per night will help your metabolism to function more properly and ensure that you eat less and have more energy throughout the day.
Having sex: "Thirty minutes of active sexual activity can burn between 150 to 350 calories, while 3.5 hours per week can burn up to 2,450 calories, " says Lisa Velazquez, a lovestyle coach and sex therapist educator. Try getting on top in the cowgirl position for maximum results!
Just dance: Sofia Vergara's secret to staying in shape is doing a dance workout with her trainer three times a week. If you're not one to hit the treadmill, try jamming to your favorite salsa or merengue for at least 15 to 20 minutes a day, two or three times a week. You'll have fun and your body will thank you later!
Have breakfast: I've always (and still) struggle with making time for breakfast in the morning. But the last thing you want to do is skip out on this essential meal. When you miss out on breakfast it's more likely that you're replace the calories during the day with unhealthy snacking or a calorie-stacked lunch because you'll feel starved! Having breakfast also helps to speed your metabolism and boosts energy.
Drink more H2O: There's a reason why doctors recommend you take in plenty of water throughout the day. Water amongst other things, does help you loose weight. Frequent water consumption increases metabolic rates which leads to burning calories.
Play with your kids: Make your kids happy and get in shape by engaging in fun activities with them. Just a few minutes of sports or dancing on the Wii or a fun bike ride can make all the difference in the world.
Move around: If you spend most of your time at work behind a cubicle, try dedicating the last five minutes of every hour to getting up and moving around. Or take 15 minutes from your lunch break to walk. Keep a pair of flat or sneakers underneath your desk to help you move quicker.
