It's the last Sunday (and the last weekend, technically) of our 31 day challenge. Today I know what you're thinking: Ugh, isn't this OVER yet? I know, I know, but you only have a few more days! Let's keep going and keep seeing those pounds drop and stay off. Today's Tip #27 is actually all about exercise–but it'll be the EASIEST exercise that you can ever imagine! Let's go for it.

I know that we've been doing a good amount of exercise for the past month: we started walking, starting doing some exercises to burn 100 calories, then started lifting weights, doing interval training during TV commercials and even committed to changing up our routine when you start to hit a plateau, but here's what you REALLY need to be doing: just 20 minutes of exercise!
It turns out that shorter workouts are actually more effective than longer ones. In fact, you're better off running for 30 minutes than for an hour. In even better news, all you need is 20 minutes of intense interval training in order to get the body of your dreams. Isn't that just AMAZING news?!
Although I want you to keep up your walking, this is a good strategy to take with you as you go forward. The thing about exercise is that you can't just do it for a month and then give it up. It has to be something that you continue to do as you go through your life, because it's always going to be an effective way to keep the weight off, strengthen your heart, and just feel good overall.
Pick an exercise that you love or try one of these 30 or 20-minute strategies. Do it 3 to 5 times a week. And, most of all, keep doing it! Don't quit. Make it a part of your routine. Schedule it in. Invite a friend, if that makes it easier. Come up with any strategy that you can as long as that strategy involves you actually doing it.
Stay tuned for Tip #28 tomorrow!
