We've all seen those hilarious autocorrect fails that turn normal text messages into something else altogether. But when one man received a strange text from his pregnant wife, he knew something was really wrong—and it wasn't with the phone.
The husband received a text that read: "every where thinging days nighing. Some is where!" Knowing his 25-year-old wife (who was 11 weeks pregnant at the time) typically had her autocorrect turned off, he began to worry the mixup was actually a medical issue and decided to take her to the emergency room.
While examining her, doctors noticed that the woman seemed disoriented, was having trouble speaking, and seemed to have difficultly properly using her right arm and leg. After running an MRI, they discovered the issue– part of the woman's brain wasn't getting enough blood, resulting in a stroke!

Thankfully, the woman only had to stay in the hospital for a short time before being released in good health. Jeez, talk about good instincts. Just imagine if the man had simply chalked the garbled text to carelessness and hadn't taken action! His caution ended up saving his wife's life!
And their story doesn't end there. Three doctors from Boston's Harvard Medical School reported on the woman's case, which they say is the first they've ever heard of where a text message led to a diagnosis. In the report, the__y name the woman's inability to text as "dystexia."__ The term basically refers to difficulty processing language and includes texts!
Wow, who knew? It just goes to show you never know what could be a warning sign. Next time you get a messed up text message from a friend, make sure they're OK…and if they are, tell them to turn their autocorrect off. It could help them out later in life!
