Losing fat and slimming down will always require a healthy diet and consistent exercise. There's no getting around that. None of the fancy pills or "magical" weight loss potions people try to sell you will change that fact.
But as long as you exercise portion control and get moving every day, you can speed up your results by taking the right supplements. That's why they're called supplements, because when everything else is in place, they help add to your success.
I'm don't normally recommend supplements because I generally prefer to focus on changing habits, but every now and then I come across something truly amazing… and of course I have to let you know about it!

I'm talking about cod liver oil. If you're trying to drop fat and get healthy, it needs to become your new best friend. Like fish oil, cod liver oil is loaded with all those essential omega-3 fatty acids. It's packed with healthy fats that your body can use for energy (instead of storing around your waist). But cod liver oil also contains some very important nutrients that most of us are lacking.
First, cod liver oil is an incredible source of Vitamin D, which is also known as the "sunshine vitamin." It's because it's generally produced by the sun and absorbed through our skin. So you're probably thinking that if you just go outside, all your Vitamin D needs are taken care of.
Well, guess again.
If that were the case, then how do you explain that 75% of people are deficient in this important nutrient?
Most of the time we spend in the sun we are covered up and wearing clothes. Even when we spend a day at the beach, we're often wearing sun block which can interfere with Vitamin D production.
How important is vitamin D? Well, first off, it is actually a hormone. It controls 3% of your DNA and is absolutely vital to balancing out your natural hormone levels. If you want to hold onto your lean sexy muscle and effortlessly lose fat, I'd say it's pretty important!
The second part of cod liver oil's fat-blasting punch is that it's also rich in Vitamin A. Most of our diets are also lacking this vitamin. It helps to boost our immune system and prevent viral and bacterial infections. With those threats taken care of, our bodies can spend more energy burning fat!
Vitamin A also gives your skin a healthy glow. So after you slim down, you'll definitely want to be showing it off!
Cod liver oil comes in both a pill and liquid form. So if you hate swallowing pills, you can just add some of the liquid to a shake or smoothie. When I do this, I can hardly even taste it…But I know I'm still getting all the healthy benefits. My kids can even tolerate it in a shake or smoothie!
Whether you go with the pill or the liquid, make sure to add cod liver oil into your diet. It may be the missing link in helping you look and feel great!
