Do you need help losing weight? Well, there's a new pill that's promising to do just that. After appearing on The Dr. Oz Show, the raspberry ketone supplement is being called a miracle fat-burner in a bottle. But is it really all that it promises?
When I first read about it, it sounded exciting. I love raspberries and finding out that raspberry ketone, the primary aroma compound of red raspberries, is a safe and healthy supplement for weight-loss sounded fantastic. They even promised that it has no side effects. But a pill is still something that's manufactured, so can they really promise a miracle with no negative effects?

According to Dr. Oz and the experts that appeared on his show, raspberry ketone is a miracle that works to burn fat, helping you break through a weight-loss plateu. They explain further:
This compound regulates adiponectin, a hormone that causes your body too boost metabolism. In turn, the fat within your cells gets broken up more effectively, helping your body burn fat faster and more efficiently.

But just because some compound in red raspberries is good for you doesn't mean that you can just start eating red raspberries all the time. In fact, they say that in order to get the equivalent effects of one little pill you would have to eat 90 pounds of raspberries.
90 pounds?! That sounds like too huge of a number to me. Even if this raspberry ketone pill is a miracle when it comes to weight-loss supplements and burning fat, should we really be putting the equivalent of 90 pounds of raspberries into our bodies? I'm a little cautious about that. Although coffee bean extract supplements have also been linked to weight loss recently, I think I'd rather try losing weight the natural way first.
Would you take the raspberry ketone supplement pill if it really could help you burn more fat without any side effects?
