It's day 2 of the weight loss challenge!__ I managed to avoid totally derailing all of my healthy efforts when I got home yesterday, but it was by no means something I was able to accomplish on my own.
The hubby definitely helped out BIG time by cooking me my hands down favorite Puerto Rican dish of all time: Bacalao Serenata. It's super healthy because we boil all of the salt out of the bacalao before mixing it with tomatoes, onions, avocado (a super food!) and a little bit of olive oil. It's traditionally served with white rice or yucca, but we like it with yautia and sweet potato–both super-healthy root vegetables and sources of carbs.
So, I'm pretty proud of myself–my first day was a success. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about today.
I REALLY, REALLY wanted to wake up early and get some yoga in before I got in to the office. But when the alarm went off, I just couldn't drag myself out of bed. Let me preface this with one super important detail about myself: I'm not a morning person. OK, that is probably an understatement. Most members of my family are literally afraid of having to wake me up because I am a demonic monster in the morning until I've had my coffee– no, mornings are not for me.
But I'm not going to let that totally mess up my exercise ambitions here. I'm just going to try to squeeze in some workout time when I get home. Also, doesn't walking the dog count?
At least I remembered to drink a big old glass of tea when I got up, which is today's challenge! I'm doing pretty well boosting my daily water intake. It used to be really hard for me to drink so much water all day long, but after doing the Master Cleanse recently, I have found it easier to remember to drink consistently all day.
