Kourtney Kardashian and hubby Travis Barker have a newborn, Rocky Thirteen. The baby was born on November 1, 2023, so he’s still itty bitty by any standards. If you’ve ever had a newborn to care for, you know it’s a lot and pretty much all-consuming. Certainly not the time to take on huge projects if you can avoid them—at least for us mere mortals. But Kourtney and Travis are wealthy superstars that play by different rules, so tending for their newborn did not stop them from taking on a major construction project at one of their homes.

Over the weekend, the Lemme founder shared a glimpse of the construction zone at her vacation home near Palm Springs, California. She didn’t give any details regarding what was being done, but from the looks of it the courtyard is getting a big revamp. Check it out!
This would be the construction zone in question.
In the video that Kourtney uploaded, you could see that her courtyard is just mounds of messy soil. She used text overlay to write “hi construction zone.”
What about the noise and the baby?
One would think that with construction come loud sounds that would interfere with Rocky’s naps and all, but remember this is happening at Kourtney’s vacation home so it’s not like they’ll be there all the time—or maybe at all—during the construction.
Kourt bought the place in May 2021.
Located in La Quinta, California, which is pretty much in the same-ish area as Palm Springs. It’s a desert resort city and one of the nine cities that make up the Coachella Valley. Kourtney reportedly paid $12 million for the place.
The home is in a gated community.
The mansion was built in 2021 making it brand spankin’ new when Kourtney bought it. It has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and came fully furnished. Shortly after she became the official owner, Kourtney shared pictures of and video of herself, then-boyfriend Travis Barker, and her kids at the time, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, enjoying the place.
Kourtney's mom, Kris Jenner also has a home in the same gated community.
Since then, she and Travis got married.
They had three different weddings with the most lavish one taking place in Portofino, Italy, on May 22, 2022. Their legal marriage with the licensing and all that took place on May 15, 2022, at a California courthouse. They also had a kind of just-for-fun Las Vegas wedding chapel ceremony in April 2022.
Then came baby Rocky.
In November 2023, the couple became parents to their first child together. Kourtney shares her three other children with ex Scott Disick. Travis shares shares son Landon and daughter Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler and is also has stepdaughter Atiana de la Hoya, whom Shanna had with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
