Growing up, my mom used to update our home décor pretty regularly, and I loved it because it gave our home a fresh feeling. Now that I am a grown-up, I do it too. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m not looking to replace everything in my home, because that’s pricey and I’m not trying to redecorate the whole place. What I am looking to do is give everything a bit of a refresh with a new piece here and there, a rug and a bit of wallpaper, maybe some new lighting. Not gonna lie—I found this trend surprising, because for so long it has felt like dark wood was not in high demand. Etsy has seen a “337% increase in searches for walnut desks and accessories” and a “28% increase in searches for brown seating or furniture.” Think woods like walnut and mahogany.
