Put homemade twists on pre-prepared frozen appetizers to be the star of your next holiday potluck dinner party

If you're anything like us, we bet your holidays are jam-packed with parties, gift swaps, and potlucks. And we say, the more celebrating, the merrier! But when it comes to that potluck get-together, we sometimes run out of time to prepare something homemade amid the holiday hustle and bustle.

So what's a time-strapped guest to do? We tapped our favorite hostess with the mostest, Slice host Evette Ríos, for her advice. First tip: Keep your cool, and head to the frozen food section!

Evette always keeps a tempting array of Walmart frozen appetizers on hand for moments just like this. Some of her favorites are the rigatoni mac and cheese bites and Sam's Choice Italia spinach and feta flatbread. Since she's usually running big one ideas but short on time, Evette orders all her frozen apps online, then zooms over to Walmart to pick up at her convenience, using Walmart Grocery Pickup. In no time at all, she's got her tasty dishes out of the car and into the oven. Both apps cook at the same temp, a big bonus when you're short on time — and oven space.

Check out the episode of Little Slices below for Evette's pro tips for putting homemade twists on these pre-prepared goodies, like skewering the mac and cheese bites with pieces of crisp bacon and grape tomatoes for a handheld treat that will make you the star of your next holiday dinner party — and luck has nothing to do with it.
