There are mansions and homes on TV that are iconic in many Latinos' memories. These unforgettable and impressive homes have appeared in a TV series or a telenovela, such as the Olmedo family's mansion, outside of which Thalía sold her flowers in María Mercedes or Adela Noriega's home in Amor real*.* What about the grandiose Villa Arabesque where the ladies in Amigas y Rivales spent so much of their time? And how can we forget the beautiful school where the kids in Rebelde studied? These buildings are full of character onto themselves.

Even some of today's Spanish shows on Netflix have striking abodes. Take for instance La casa de las flores, which marked Verónica Castro's return to the small screen after taking a decade-long break. Then there's the beautiful structure in La casa de papel, the super popular show about an ambitious heist.
The Lombardo mansion in Sortilegio witnessed the flourishing romance between William Levy and Jacqueline Bracamontes. Meanwhile, it's impossible to know exactly how many fights happened in the Balvanera house between Nikki and Guzmán, played by Eiza González and Sebastián Rulli in Amores Verdaderos.
In many cases these homes accurately portray socio-economic discrepancies that exist. At the same time these homes allow us to dream. Here are some of the most iconic homes in telenovelas.
María Mercedes suffered so much in the El Olmo mansion.
Malvina, Santiago's aunt, mistreated and pyschologically abused her to the point she almost drove her insane. The role also cemented Thalía as one of the queens of telenovelas back in 1992. The house, which is in Mexico City, also became an unforgettable place for fans.
María la del Barrio was so intimidated when she entered the La Vega Montenegro home.
Thalía made us fall in love with her as the young woman who, in that house, conquered Luis Fernando, played by Fernando Colunga.
The house in 'Amor real' was impressive.
The telenovela, which starred Adela Noriega and Fernando Colunga and aired in 2003, was centered around the San Cayetano hacienda. In real life, it's the hacienda Tetlapayac in the Mexican state of Hidalgo. The Mask of Zorro with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones was also filmed there.
The Balvanera mansion was at the center of ‘Amores verdaderos’.
The telenovela, which aired in 2012, included a cast with Erika Buenfil, Eduardo Yañez, Eiza González and Sebastián Rulli. It had many outdoor scenes, many of them outside the beautiful house situated south of Mexico City.
Angelique Boyer's character lived in this beautiful hacienda in 'Lo que la vida me robó.'
It's called Hacienda Uayamon and it's near a city in Mexico named Campeche. The home is now part of the Marriott portfolio of properties, so if you want to relive the first moments of the romance between Montserrat Mendoza and Alejandro Alamonte, you can visit the home.
Catalina Creel lived in this Cuernavaca house.
This house appeared in the iconic 1986 telenovela Cuna de lobos, which gave rise to one of Spanish language television's most famous villains of all time, Catalina Creel. (Among other evil deeds, she came up with plans to kill eight of her enemies and mercilessly terrorized others.)
The mansion, located in Cuernavaca, Mexico, was recently sold for $400,000 U.S. dollars.
The Bracho mansion appeared in 'La Usurpadora'.
La usurpadora aired in 1998 it's the telenovela that made Gaby Spanic famous worldwide.
Many of the scenes in 'Amigas y Rivales' were filmed in Villa Arabesque.
It was the home of Ludwika Paleta's character, but we also spotted Adamari López's character there so many times! Today, you can totally rent it. It has a wonderful view of the Acapulco Bay.
The hacienda La Malquerida was iconic in ‘Amor bravío.’
The outdoor scenes of the 2012 telenovela, which starred Silvia Navarro and Cristian de la Fuente, was recorded in this spectacular former hacienda named La Gavia, contructed in the 17th century. If you're interested, it's on sale for $15 million dollars.
The Arismendi home in 'Eva Luna' is believed to be in California.

The house in 'Santa Diabla' was supposed to be in Louisiana.
But the house in the 2013 telenovela, which included Gaby Espino, Aaron Díaz and Carlos Ponce as part of the cast, is actually in Miami.
Alex Lombardo's house in 'Sortilegio' was a dream.
The mansion is where María José, played by Jaqueline Bracamontes, arrived after being deveived by David Zepeda's Bruno. María José was dazzled by the mansion and by William Levy.
The Elizondo family's hacienda was the star of 'Pasión de Gavilanes.'
Located in the outskirts of Bogotá, in Colombia, the impressive house and its surrounding areas, where in 2003 Mario Cimarro, Michel Brown and Alfonso Baptista wooed Danna Garía, Paola Rey and Nastasha Klauss, is today a hall for events and parties, known as El Pórtico.
This beauty was Eugenia's house in 'Por ella soy Eva.'
Its image was closely tied to Jaime Camil, who played Juan Carlos and proved his acting chops when he became Eva in order to conquer Elena, played by Lucero, in the 2012 telenovela.

The Spanish series 'La casa de papel' has gained popularity around the world.
According to Netflix, this is the most watched series on the platform that is not made in English. It's about a heist at the Royal Mint of Spain. The building has been the feature of the past two seasons, and in real life it's the Spanish National Research Council in Madrid.
'La casa de las flores' has been called a neotelenovela or a telenovela for millennials.
As the title says, the house is central. It's where the De la Mora family has had a flower shop for many generations. The mansion is located outside of Mexico City near the Cumbres del Ajusco National Park. Its exterior is gorgeous, as is the set that was created inside.
