Easy dulce de leche with lemon like my abuela used to make (RECIPE)

Dulce de leche with lemon is one of those wonderful recipes passed down from our abuelitas who took advantage of absolutely everything they had in their kitchen. It's so easy to make, that I do not understand why we don't make it more often. You'll love this recipe.

Drizzle the lemon juicin making sure it covers the entire surface. It is very important to not stir so that it will form lumps of curdled milk.

Turn on the stove over medium-hight heat and cook without stirring and without covering, until it begins to boil.

Reduce heat to medium-low and continue cooking uncovered. The idea is that the liquid evaporates and forms a honey syrup. Once the liquid has diminished by half, stir to prevent burning, and cook until the syrup reaches the desired thickness.

Remove from heat

Let cool down completely and store in jars with lid in the refrigerator. I like it better when is cold. Serve in little bowl as abuelita would do.  I hope that this recipe will bring such good memories as it brings to me.
