11 Summer “mocktails” perfect for pregnant women!

It's summer, which means people are boozing all around you. The only issue is that you're pregnant and drinking more glasses of water a day than you have in your entire lifetime. Staying hydrated is important, but carrying a baby belly shouldn't mean that you can't basque in the joy of happy hour. These are the best virgin cocktails that won't make you miss a real drink! Seriously, these "mocktails" will help you survive summer while pregnant. Trust me, I'm trying to survive too!

Virgin piña colada

Nothing screams summer and island glory more than a refreshing piña colada. To make at home, you'll need two ounces of coconut milk, 1 1/2 ounce of pineapples, one ounce of pineapple juice, one tablespoon of brown sugar and ice. The rest is the blender's job.

Lemon blueberry lemonade

A fizzy drink always helps to keep you from longing for the hard stuff. This lemonade is cooling and perfect to bring to a BBQ. I add Seltzer to the following recipe, which includes 1/2 cup of sugar, one cup of blueberries, and 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice. Preparing it is the easiest part.

Apricot slush drink

This is non-alcoholic and great for you. Apricots are filled with beta carotene and vitamin C, which is perfect for you and the baby. Mix together three ounces of apricot nectar, two ounces of pineapple juice, one ounce of cherry syrup and juice of one lime.

Watermelon mojito

You will easily want seconds! All you have to do to prepare is muddle two watermelon chunks with a few mint leaves. Then add the juice of one lime, two teaspoons of sugar and a splash of ginger ale. Divine!

Pink virgin grapefruit daiquiris

Daiquiris are a summer staple! This recipe requires an eight ounce bottle of grapefruit juice, sugar, juice from a lime and 1/2 ounce of maraschino cherry juice. Don't forget to serve it in a cocktail glass to feel like you're having the real thing.

Mango sparklers

Feel like you've escaped to the tropics in a heartbeat. Mix 1 1/2 cup of mangoes with one cup of pineapple juice, one lime, one cup of club soda and ice. This is so tasty and addictive!

Virgin mojito

Mojitos are one of my favorite cocktails. Grab 15 mint leaves and muddle along with one teaspoon of sugar, one ounce of fresh lime juice, four ounces of ginger ale and ice.

Strawberry rhubarb lemonade

This drink is super tasty and great for you. Mix two cups of rhubarb with 3/4 cups of sugar, three cups of water, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, two cups of sliced strawberries with one cup of fresh lemon juice. Grab a saucepan and follow the recipe instructions for a delicious drink.

Berry lemonade

Berries are packed with antioxidants. Indulge by mixing together one bag of frozen mixed berries and one can of frozen lemonade concentrate (go for a natural brand). Add one cup of simple syrup and ice.

Mint and cucumber lime fizz

This is perfect for those super hot evenings. Cool down by mixing two basil leaves, four mint leaves, three small slices of cucumber, one tablespoon fresh lime juice and one tablespoon simple syrup.

Nothing says happy hour more than a margarita. Get the party started by blending two cups of fresh strawberries, 1/4 cup of lime juice, 1/2 cup of orange juice, with ice and two tablespoons of sugar.
