We may love a nice tall glass of cerveza, but pests hate beer! If bees and wasps are invading your garden and home, fill a bowl with beer and place a few feet away from the problem zone. If cockroaches are killing your sanity, place a beer-soaked piece of bread in a jar. Then line the rim with Vaseline. Once the critters get inside of the jar, they will be trapped in there. Pretty genius.

Cleaning the stove top

Crusty pan drippings are almost impossible to clean without using a cleaner with toxic chemicals, but beer is an effective natural alternative. Soak a cleaning cloth with beer and scrub your gas or electric stovetop. It will be spotless in just minutes.

Polishing your wooden furniture

If your wooden furniture is starting to look like it belongs in a yard sale, it's time to spruce it up with a little beer. Beer works just as good as the oil based polishes. The secret is to make sure you use flat beer, which is perfect because it's not drinkable at that point. Wet a polishing cloth with the beer and wipe away. You'll notice your furniture will be shiny and back to life.

Shining your jewelry

You can skip on buying jewelry cleaner during your next errand run. To leave your jewelry shining like brand new, just place your silver or gold pieces into a bowl filled with beer. Then take a microfiber cleaning cloth and wipe.

Making sure your indoor grill or cast iron skillet is wiped totally clean is a tough job. Beer can actually help with this too thanks to its fizz. Pour beer to an already hot pan and let it soak. Then scrub away and you'll see how much quicker you'll be done with this annoying kitchen task.

Making light batter

If you're looking to get the fluffiest pancakes or light and crispy fried chicken, make sure to add beer to your batter. Simply substitute milk or water for beer in the recipe you're following. It will make a world of a difference thanks to the yeast in beer.

Watering your plants

Plants love a serving of a nice cold one every now and then too. The sugars in beer help to wake up the soil in outdoor or indoor plants. Make sure to grab flat beer and pour a bit into each pot along with some water. Your plants will thank you later with a little growth spurt.

Getting rid of coffee stains on a rug could be a nightmare! In this case, beer can also come to the rescue. Pour beer on the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Then grab a clean cloth and dab gently. Wash with soap and water and the spot won't be noticeable!

Getting rid of mice

Mice love beer as much as they love cheese, but the only probably is that cerveza gets them tipsy! Place a bowl of beer in your kitchen and add a little board for the mice to get into the bowl and drink up. They will be so tipsy that they'll stay trapped in there. Yes, you'll have to pick up the mouse and throw it out, but it's better than having it running around your home.
