Popcorn
If you are in the mood for something salty, popcorn is your best choice. Buy an air-popped brand with less than 100 calories and low-fat. Don't eat it from the bag, serve it in a bowl and enjoy.
Frozen berries
Berries are low-fat and packed with rich antioxidants and vitamins. Mix a cup of frozen blueberries with a little fat-free cottage cheese, add a couple drops of honey and you are in!
Sorbet
Fruit sorbet is made of water and is low-fat. Make sure you choose one with the lowest amount of sugar possible. Sorbets are perfect for ice-cream lovers!
Dark chocolate
Dark chocolate is a powerful antioxidant and is low-fat. Make sure to choose one at least 70% or more cacao so you can enjoy it without the calories. Milk or white chocolate are fattening alternatives.
Dried apricots
They have very few calories and lots of sugar so three or four will do the trick for you. If you are still hungry, chop them and mix them with fat-free plain yogurt. It tastes like ice-cream!
Pistachios
They also satisfy your salt craving. They are relatively low-fat. 30 nuts have approximately 100 calories. Don't get roasted, candied or salted variations because they have more calories.
Greek yogurt
Packed with lots of fiber. One cup of yogurt will make you feel instantly full. Add a little honey or low-fat jam to add more sweetness.
Milkshake
If you like to drink something cold, make your own low-fat shake. Buy a container of low-fat protein powder (any flavor you like) add fat-free milk and ice. Yumm!
Peanut butter
Don't go crazy grabbing the whole container! All you need is one tablespoon on a piece of celery. You can stretch it to two tablespoons on two pieces of celery, but not more than that.
Pickles
They are ideal to satisfy your salty craving. They are fat-free and crunchy! Don't eat them if you suffer from acid reflux because pickles are too acidic.
Angel food cake
You can buy a fat-free version and top it with dark chocolate syrup and fresh berries. Turn in into a low-fat version of milk and cookies by drinking a glass of fat-free milk. Enjoy!
