I love coconut, ginger ale and maple syrup–and this concoction has these three ingredients plus fresh lime juice. This Cocktail Jumble is the perfect adult drink for hot summer days and evenings, particularly today when we celebrate National Rum Day. I love that is sweetened with maple syrup, a superb ingredient that can be used for more than waffles and pancakes.

Sugar Island Coconut Rum sent me the recipe and the picture looked so inviting that I decided to share it with you. Besides that, everybody knows I'm rum biased, in part because rum is an amazing very versatile spirit, but also because I was born and raised in Venezuela where people love whiskey but where rum is certainly the authentic national drink. ¡Salud!
Cocktail Jumble
Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz. Sugar Island Coconut Rum
1 fresh lime juice
Splash of Crown Maple Syrup
Splash of ginger ale
Lime wheels and raspberries for garnish
Preparation:
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Strain into a glass with ice and top off with the ginger ale.
Garnish with lime wheels and raspberries.
