Whenever I see soccer on television it reminds me of being in mi país, Mexico. I spent so many afternoons sitting with my parents and my aunts and uncles as they cheered for their favorite teams. There were always cookies and delicious things to eat. So, for me, watching soccer reminds me of the love of my family. Now that I'm a mom, I definitely want to pass that love on to my own children.
Another thing that reminds me of home is the many hours I used to spend with my mom and her sisters in the kitchen getting ready for the games. The preparation was almost as much fun as the parties! I would always grab bits of the sweetest ingredients and eat them before they made it in to the bowl.
I am always on the lookout for fun snacks to make with my own children for our soccer parties. That's why I fell completely in love when I found these Oreo Cookie Soccer Balls! Delicious, easy-to-make and adorably themed, what is not to love?
The only downside? Keeping the kids from eating the yummy ingredients before you're finished making them just like I used to! My advice? Buy extra of everything!
