I don't know about you, but I absolutely HATE cutting tomatoes (even cherry tomatoes). I hate how I'm never able to cut them into perfect slices, I hate how messy they get, and I hate how the seeds and juice always wind up getting everywhere. It's gotten to the point where I just refuse to cut tomatoes anymore.
Whenever I'm making a salad, guacamole or anything else that requires cutting tomatoes I leave it to my patient fiance to do. But did you know that there's a VERY simple way to cut tomatoes that would make your life so much easier?

So I recently stumbled upon this cooking hack video with the most genius tip EVER for slicing tomatoes. Its genius yet so simple I can't believe I never thought of it before. Actually I can't believe my super smart abuelita never thought of this before. She has a thing for cooking hacks. Abuela, how come you never thought of this?
Anyhow, the man in the video put a bunch of cherry tomatoes on a dish and then covered it with another dish leaving a small space in between. Then took a large knife passed it through the tomatoes and voila—they're all sliced! A job that would normally take you like 5 minutes done in like a second. How awesome is that?
I'm telling you this trick is so obvious, you'll feel pretty stupid afterwards. Check out the video below for yourself and see how he does it! My only question is: Can this trick apply for big tomatoes too? Because to be honest, they're even more annoying!
