Cantaloupe is one of those fruits that I often forget to add to my weight loss smoothies. I can't understand why, especially when considering its many great benefits: low in calories, easy to prepare, filling, easy to digest, nutritional value. Add to this smoothie a couple of little green factors (spinach and pistachios) and you have yourself not only a refreshing and delicious formula, but also one that will make you feel good inside and out. Cantaloupe & pistachio smoothie
Serves one
1/2 medium/large cantaloupe
1 peach
2 cups fresh baby spinach
2 tablespoons of crushed pistachios
a little bit of water, as necessary
ice
Directions:
Peel and cut the cantaloupe. Cut the peach, and discard the pit. Add all ingredients (except for the ice) to the blender. Pulse. When blended, add the ice, pulse some more until smoothie consistency.
Enjoy!
