5 QUICK ways to make your bathroom guest-ready

I'm all about the bathroom in my apartment.  My fiancée is always on my case about the kitchen because he's crazy paranoid about roaches, but who wants to deal with a dirty toilet bowl or food particles all over the mirror? And especially when you're expecting guests! That's so embarrassing. With that said, I hardly entertain because I hardly have time. But I've figured out a way to get the bathroom guest ready in 15 minutes or less!

Step 1: Before you start rearranging, start scrubbing away. Clean up the toilet, tub, floor, and sink. And make sure to clean and reorganize that medicine cabinet. Some people like to peek in there you know!

Step 2: Once the bathroom is clean, give it a guest friendly look by changing up your guest towels. My bathroom is full of neutral shades like brown and beiges so I added soft blue guest towels to give the room a subtle splash of color.

Step 3: I keep A LOT of things in my bathroom, but they obviously don't all fit in the medicine cabinet. So to make the room look less messy, I organize things like my cotton swabs and cotton balls in cute small mason jars and place them in a shelf that's over our toilet. I also use nice fabric bins that match our bathroom colors to put away bigger items like facial cleansers, baby wipes, moisturizers, and all the other things you don't want on display for your guests.

Step 4: Don't be afraid to warm up your bathroom. People might just be peeing in there but they'll notice how it looks. I like to give the room more of a spa feel by adding candles and chic accents like a Budda head sculpture to give it more of a relaxing feel. Even fresh flowers work!

Step 5: To make my bathroom more guest friendly, I leave a small basket out with toiletries for them to use, like a toothbrush, dental floss, travel-sized tooth paste, hand lotion, and wipes. After all, you want them to feel as comfortable as possible.

Step 6: I normally have soft-scented candles lit in my bathroom to keep the room smelling fresh. But always make sure to keep an air-freshener spray that's easily accessible for your guests.
