How many times have you said you're going to cut off all carbs because they cause weight gain? Probably many and that's not necessarily the healthiest way to shed the excess pounds and keep them off.
In fact these foods all get a bad rap and the truth is they aren't! The good thing is you won't have to eliminate many of these from your diet and you will still lose the weight you need to get rid of.

Peanut butter: People are hesitant to eat peanut butter because of the fats it contains. Peanut butter not only provides the protein you need, but it has the good fats your body needs.
Eggs: You've probably heard that egg yolks aren't good to eat because they are high in cholesterol. The truth is you can eat a couple a day without negatively affecting your cholesterol levels and you'll also get your protein too.
Red meat: Stick to lean cuts of meat to avoid saturated fats that affect your waistline. Red meat is a great source of protein and helps build muscle.
Pasta: Yay, you can still have carbs! Pasta provides folic acid, is low in fat, and you can switch to whole wheat to fulfill your daily fiber intake. It's best to cook al dente and to pair with lean protein.
Cheese: Stick to cheeses such as feta, cottage, string, and swiss to get your intake of calcium, riboflavin, vitamin A, B12, zinc. The full fat can also suppress your appetite which keeps you from overeating.
