I live in a house that was built in 1897. That's old! Can you imagine how many things have gone on in this home in all those years? My mother swears the place is haunted by a horny ghost, but I just laugh it off because she pretty much thinks every place is haunted. The truth is I'm sure that someone at some point must have died in this home, but it's not like I know anything about it, BUT now there is a website called Died in House that can tell you if anyone has died in your home. Why would you want to know?

Well, it might explain the noises you hear at night, the bumps in the attic, the creepy cold chill you get in the back of your neck in a certain room, or the horny ghost your mother complains about.
It's also useful if you are in the process of buying a home. Neither the seller nor realtor has any legal obligation to tell potential buyers if there are any deaths associated with the property. I mean, they might not even know themselves. Now, for a nominal fee you can type in an address and find out if anyone has ever died, gotten killed, or committed suicide there. Yikes!
So what do you think? Would you want to know? Not me unless I could do something about it. For example, I have no intention of moving at the moment, so I really don't want to know of any deaths that occurred where I'm living because I don't want to get creeped out, but maybe when I do move I'll look up the address just to see if my mom is right about the horny ghost.
