Recall alert: Popular string cheese pulled from stores

Kraft Foods Group Inc. is voluntarily recalling some of its popular Polly-O String Cheese and String Cheese Twists products, which could spoil before their "Best When Used By" dates. After receiving several complaints by costumers of cheese changing color and  going bad prematurely, the company stopped production and distribution of the affected products as of Friday. About 735,000 cases of the affected cheese were shipped to stores in the U.S.

If you have Kraft and Polly-O String Cheese and String Cheese Twists in your fridge and they have "Best When Used By" of Oct. 25, 2013 through Feb. 11, 2014, DO NOT USE THEM. The company is asking customers with affected cheese to return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund. I think this particular recall is important to moms because I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that a lot of kids like string cheese, so a lot of parents buy string cheese for them. String cheese is a staple in many kids' homes and a go to snack. Check you cheese!

Check your fridge, make sure you don't have any of the affected product, but if you do, keep it away from your kids.
