Today is National Tequila Day and what can be better than these tequila coktails to celebrate? Recipes are courtesy of Patrón, Don Julio and José Cuervo. They all look irresistible not only for today but to refresh this hot summer.

Tequila Tonic

__Ingredients:
__2 oz Patrón Silver
Tonic water
1 gajo de lima

Preparation: Combine Patrón Silver with tonic water in a well-iced highball glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Black Widow

__Ingredients
__1 1/2  oz Don Julio tequila
Fresh lime juice
1 tsp. agave nectar.
4 fresh basil leaves|
3 blackberries

Preparation: In a shaker muddle the backberries with the basil. Add the tequila, lime juice, agave nectar and ice cubes. Shake vigorously and serve in a short glass. Garnih with a basil and blackberry skewer.

Tequila Mojito

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz Patrón Silver       
1 oz simple syrup (1 part water,  1 part sugar)              
3-4 lime wedges
6-8 mint leaves
Club soda
1 lime wedge to garnish

Preparation: In a mixing glass, muddle mint leaves, lime and simple syrup.Add a cup of ice, Patrón Silver, and top with club soda.Shake gently and serve in a glass.Garnish with a lime wedge.

Chupacabra

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz Don Julio tequila
1/2 oz freash lime juice
1/4 oz simple syrup  (1 part water, 1 part sugar)
4 oz ginger beer
Chile salt to rim the glass

Preparation: Rim a tall glass with chile salt. In a shaker, pour tequila, lime juice and simple syrup. Shake vigorously. Strain in the glass with abundant ice. Top off with ginger beer.

The perfect Margarita

__Ingredients
__1 1/2 oz Patrón Reposado       
1/2 oz Patrón Citrónge           
2 oz sour mix
Juice from 1/2 lime
Juice from 1/2 orange
Lime wheel for garnish

Preparation: In a shaker full of ice, combine Patrón Reposado, Patrón Citrónge, orange juice, lime juice and sweet and sour mix. Shake well, strain and serve in a martini glass.Garnish with a lime wheel.

Reposado & Sangrita

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz tequila reposado
2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup lime juice
1/2 cup grapefruit juice
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Pinch of chili powder
Pinch of chile de árbol powder
1 lime wedge

Preparation: In a shaker, combine all ingredients except tequila. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain over a shot glass In another shot glass, serve tequila.

Tequila Paloma

__1 1/2 oz Patrón Silver
Grapefruit soda
Lime wedge

Preparation: Pour Patrón Silver into a highball glass filled with ice.Add grapefruit soda and top with squeezed lime.

Cloverita

Ingredients
1 1/4  oz. José Cuervo Tradicional Silver tequila
1 1/4 oz. triple sec
Splash of Midori melon liquor
1 oz. fresh lime juice
Chile salt
4 slices of jalapeño pepper without seeds

Preparation: Rim the glass with chili salt. Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Add ice amd shake vigororously. Strain over the glas with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

White Grape

Ingredientes

1 ½  oz Patrón Silver                

2 ½ oz white grape juice

1 ginger ale splash

1 blueberry

1 raspberry

1 whita grape

Preparation

Build over ice in a shaker.Pour into an ice-filled tall glass, and top with ginger ale.
Garnish with blueberry, raspberry and white grapes
