There are a few things that are certain in life, but above all of them is … laundry. Love it or hate it, it's a permanent part of being a mom. One way to learn to like it better is to do it as fast and frugally as possible. We talked to savvy moms who gave us the following tips:
1. Time your loads. If you put in your second load into the dryer as soon as the first one is finished, you won't waste time waiting for the dryer to heat up again. It will dry clothes faster and save on electric bills.
2. Get the lint out. Making sure you clean the lint tray before each and every load you dry will get clothes drier faster.
3. Wash with Tide. One scoop of Tide has more cleaning power than 6 of the leading detergent with Oxi.*
(* Based on stain removal performance of 1 dose of Tide Original Powder vs. 6 doses of the leading powder detergent with Oxi.)
4. Pin dirty socks together. Wash them together and save yourself on all that sock matching time.
5. Use colored glue dots or a small dab of fabric paint. Do your family's clothes start to all look together on laundry day? Assign a different color to each family member and put a small dab of colored glue or fabric paint on frequently mixed-up items in an inconspicuous place. Let it dry before washing, of course!
