Latin slow cooker: Smoky, spicy navy bean soup that’s perfect for winter (RECIPE)

Although we're already halfway through February, the weather is only getting colder. Yes, we still have quite a few weeks of winter left and my house is currently freezing. So what do you do when the weather is cold and you're a little chilly? Make some heart-warming soup, of course! That's exactly what I'm doing with my time today, making this delicious Latin slow cooker smoky and spicy navy bean soup. The combination of the delicious beans (which you should soak overnight), smoked ham, tomatoes and spinach with some delicious Latin spices are enough to warm up my entire family. It's absolutely delicious and you'll all definitely enjoy it. YUM!

Slow Cooker Smoky Spicy Navy Bean Soup

Slow Cook: 10 hours on Low
Yield: 8 servings 

__Ingredients:
__1 pound navy beans, soaked overnight
2 cups chopped smoked ham, about 8 oz
1 large onion, chopped
3 ribs celery, thinly sliced
3 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
1 14 1/2 ounce can petite diced tomatoes with chipotle or jalapeno pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 5 ounce bag baby spinach
