Super Bowl menu: 7 Delicious low-cal Latin recipes for a perfect football party!

As much as I love throwing a good party and serving delicious food, the one thing on my mind in the past week has been: How am I ever going to serve healthy-for-you recipes during the Super Bowl? Although I'm a fan of some of our Latin burgers to enjoy on that day and I do believe in a little bit of indulgence, I also want to make sure that I have some diet-friendly recipes on hand.

At the same time, I don't want the food to taste bad! Lucky for us, though, I found the best recipes to serve during Super Bowl XLVII and they're sure to please the entire family. From a low-fat guacamole (yes, it IS possible!) to a Michelada that is only 97 calories (yes, really!), here are the dishes that you absolutely MUST add to your Super Bowl menu: 7 delicious and low-calorie Latin recipes. Guacamole made with green peas?! That's sacrilege! Well, at least, it would be if this low-fat version of the Mexican classic wasn't SO delicious. I've tried it (though with a whole avocado, instgead) and I can vouch for just how good it is!

And last but definitely NOT least is the perfect drink to serve during your Super Bowl party. At just 97 calories (a typical Michelada would be closer to 210!), this is the perfect little cocktail to toast your team's wins!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (save the rinds)
Garnish with freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 cup Miller64 or Miller Lite, chilled
Kosher salt, for the rim of the glass
Worcestershire sauce, to taste
1/4 cup light, spicy tomato juice
Hot sauce, to taste

Directions:
Use the lime rinds to rim the top of the glass, which we coat in salt and fill with ice before adding the remaining ingredients. Stir well and enjoy the much lighter alternative to the traditional recipe. It makes one 16oz beverage.
