It's the day after New Year's Eve. That's right, today is the start of a New Year and, consequently, also the day that you're most likely to be hungover thanks to many of us going just a smidge overboard last night. Well, luckily for those of us who aren't feeling our 100% best this morning, science has finally discovered a REAL hangover cure!
And the answer is BACON SANDWICHES!
The Telegraph reports that Elin Roberts, of Newcastle University's Centre for Life, says that food helps to increase your metabolism and the winning combination of bread and bacon is great because "bacon is high in carbohydrates and bacon is full of protein." That protein breaks down into amino acids, which is what helps your body start to feel good. So if you're feeling a little not-so-great today, then why not indulve in the scientific cure and have one of these amazingly delicious Latin bacon sandwiches? The best part, for me, is that all of them also include avocado! Now that's a win-win for everyone.
