I've written about Latin sandwiches before but never for a special day like this. It's __National Sandwich Da__y and I'm celebrating, as always, by making something delicious.
There are out-of-the-box Latin sandwich recipes and then there are the really traditional recipes, like the Cuban medianoche sandwich, the Venezuelan patacon muracucho and the Uruguayan chivito sandwich (and more!). These are great for a quick and easy lunch today or, even better, make some for the week ahead and take them to work or put them in your kids' lunch boxes. Trust me, they'll thank you for it.
