Developing my green thumb has never been easy for me, despite my mami being someone that is a master at it. But this year I'm really trying and getting into gardening, even though it's a bit difficult from my small apartment with no backyard space. But I'm not letting that stop be (I mean, I have windowsills and a fire escape/mini balcony, right?) and so I'm having fun planting some herbs, like cilantro, and a couple of Latin veggies, like peppers. And now I think it's time to make my garden a little prettier by planting flowers.

Flowers have always been more intimidating to me because they can be so delicate. They need a lot of light and they need a lot of nurturing, something that I am always afraid I won't be able to provide enough of. I mean, I'm the girl who killed my cactus in college because I didn't water it enough. Who doesn't water a cactus enough? Seriously. But I'm trying here.
Lucky for me, though, the internet is a place of wonders. After doing some research, I found out that there ARE a couple flowers that are easier to manage. There's also several different ways of doing it, like growing flowers from seeds or from bulbs. Plus, when it comes to picking flowers, I can enjoy some that bloom all year. And that's what makes it all worth it to me. I'm excited to get some flowers in my house, aren't you? Here's a video to get us both started. Plus, you can even include the kids in your gardening efforts.
