With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it seems that the celebration of love has taken over everything. I can’t even walk into a pharmacy without seeing candy hearts, pink cards and chocolate boxes covering the walls. But it’s more fun to make your own dessert for that special someone.

It all starts with making a very special melted chocolate and buying some delicious fruit to dip into it. Strawberries are delicious, but why not try banana, kiwi, pineapple, or mango? They’re some of the easiest tropical fruits to find and will go well with the chocolate. You can also try dried fruit or even nuts. Then, just follow my recipe below and your sweetie is sure to fall in love all over again.
__Coconut-Flavored Melted Chocolate for Dipping
__
Ingredients:
2 cups dark chocolate chips
2 tablespoons coconut oil
Directions:
Place the ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl, mix together and put in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until chocolate chips are melted. Make sure to check about every 10 seconds so that the chocolate doesn’t burn.

Once your chocolate is melted, put it in a nice bowl and set it beside your honey. Then take chopsticks, a fork or fondue sticks, grab a piece of chopped fruit and dip it in the chocolate and voilà! Spend the rest of the evening relaxing together and feeding each other this irresistible Latino version of chocolate covered strawberries.
