When I was a kid growing up in Miami, FL, we had it really simple: when my brother and I played, we often built a Fort out of couch cushions or sheets draped over our bunk beds. Sometimes we would move it into the living room and play for hours, until mom yelled at us to take it down and clean up.
That was tons of fun for me and my younger brother (though, I suspect, not for my mom). The only part that I didn’t like was cleaning up at the end of the day. But kids today have it much easier with the new “my space” folding cardboard playhouse from product designer Liya Mairson.
This playhouse comes in plain white or with colors and, as you can see with the video below, can be folded and unfolded into many different options for your kids to have fun. It even includes doors and windows that can open and shut as you please. It definitely makes me want to relive my childhood and play house again.
The best part, though? It easily folds up into a neat little pile that can be quickly stored in a closet or under the bed. Playtime is made even better when it’s not followed by lengthy clean-up time.
Would you prefer to let your kids play with this cardboard playhouse instead of the old anything-they-find-around-the-house built Forts?
