This beautiful deep blue metallic shade reminds me of starry nights. It seems perfect for a season when the nights are getting longer. It's edgy, classy, and mesmerizing. Can we even call burgundy nails for fall a trend.

As far as I'm concerned, burgundy nails for fall are a no-brainer. They just work year after year and don't get tired. I do however love this twist of having a couple of the nails on both hands covered in a mostly nude color with just a touch of burgundy swirling around the edges. It feels fresh and innovative.

Try an a-moo-sing cow print design.

I would have a professional do these on me because I'm pretty sure I'd make a mess out of what is an adorable design idea. But you could definitely give these a DIY try, if you are moo-ved to do so. All you need is white nail polish, two shades of brown nail polish, and a matte top coat.

What about dipping your tips in tortoiseshell?

These tortoiseshell nails are perfection. The colors are so appealing for fall and the French manicure take is wonderful. They look neat and neato. This is a look that I would head to the nail salon for because neatness counts.

Or maybe you prefer a full tortoiseshell.

Who could blame you? Certainly not me! I love tortoiseshell so much that I'm never going to think covering you nails in it is too much of a good thing. It looks gorgeous!

Or what about a burnt sugar look?

I’m not a fan of the taste or smell of burnt sugar, but the colors sure look good on nails. It’s similar to tortoiseshell, but different at the same time. I feel like it has more swirls and twirls, which gives it more of a liquid feel.

Get splashy!

Speaking of liquid vibes, I'm loving this splash effect on a nude nail. You could use a glittery color with an autumnal feel to give your nails shimmer and shine like they've been splashed by fall itself.

Or matte nail colors with a splash of gold is another option.

If you like the effect, but you aren't feeling the nude, I love the idea of fall colors in a matte nail color finished off with a splash of gold added on top. You could do multiple colors for the base or stick to just one shade.
