The Oscars after-parties are almost just as important as the actual awards show. Soon after the golden trophies were handed out to this year's most talented stars during the 92nd annual Academy Awards, many of the attendees headed to the annual Vanity Fair Oscars after-party wearing some absolutely stunning dresses.
Some wore the same ensembles they wore to the ceremony, while others changed into different gowns that were just as, if not more, gorgeous than their original choices. Some stars posed with their Oscars, while others posed with their significant others. Many celebrity couples walked down the carpet together and looked amazing.

Like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, some celebrities skipped the ceremony but were sure to be present at the Vanity Fair party. After all, it is one of the most exclusive parties of the year in Hollywood. Some of our favorite Latina stars looked as beautiful as ever at the after-party, with Sofía Vergara, Michelle Rodriguez, and Yalitza Aparicio making appearances.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were picture perfect.
They stylish couple know how to do a red carpet together. Kim looked beyond incredible, donning a vintage Alexander McQueen Oyster dress that she said was a Christmas gift from her husband in 2019. Wow!
Yalitza Aparicio shimmered in red.
A year following her breakthrough role in Roma, the Mexican actress is still making the rounds at some of the industry's biggest parties. She wore a red midi dress that landed around her ankles, a style that makes her appear taller.
Sofía Vergara wore her staple dress silhouette.
The Modern Family star loves a strapless mermaid gown. This black one is similar to the one she wore to the Golden Globes this year, and honestly, if something works so well, why change it?
Salma Hayek added some color.
After she wore a long white gown to the Oscars earlier in the night, she opted for a bright turquoise shimmery dress that had a shorter hemline and long sleeves.
Michelle Rodriguez looked amazing in black.
We rarely see her attending red carpet events, but after seeing her in this sexy black dress, we wish she did this more often! The dress was long with long sleeves, but it was also edgy and sexy. Just like her!
Eiza Gonzalez looked stunning.
She kept it super elegant in a yellow satin gown with a high neck. The bright color is definitely fun, perfect for an after-party, yet still super elegant.
Kylie Jenner looked sensational.
Kylie wowed in a glittery navy dress that accentuated her curves so perfectly. She shared on Instagram that she could barely sit with her Ralph & Russo gown but that it was totally worth it. We agree!
Jessica Alba looked heavenly.
The style, the dress, the hair! Everything about this look just works for her. It was understated but so darn elegant; she definitely killed this look.
Alessandra Ambrosio looked great.
The supermodel reminded us of Madonna in the "Material Girl" music video. The black panels on the side created a bit of an optical illusion, making her appear even thinner–as if she needed it!
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are so lovely.
They are one of the most beloved couples in Hollywood, and they do clean up nicely. This gorgeous aqua blue dress Chrissy wore is just stunning, and her husband, People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, looked pretty great himself.
Scarlett Johansson looked like a trophy.
She might have gone home empty-handed after losing in both of the categories she was nominated in, but she still looked like a winner with her after-party look.
Russell Wilson and Ciara had a parents' night out.
Ciara is pregnant with her third child and looked like a bombshell in a sheer dress at the VF party. This is how you make pregnancy look sexy.
Elizabeth Banks wore an old dress.
She initially wore this Badgley Mischka gown to the 2004 Vanity Fair Oscars party after she starred in the 2003 movie Seabiscuit. She said she discovered the gown in the back of her closet after a recent move, and she put it on to realize that it still fit 16 years later. Goals!
Hailey Bieber looked stunning.
It looks like married life is treating the supermodel well. She was dazzling on the VF red carpet with a sheer black dress that was tasteful and so sexy.
Aubrey Plaza looked wonderful.
Her outfit choice was super gorgeous. The sleeves made the dress pop and took it from a plain white dress to a head-turning look.
Tessa Thompson gave us a bit of an edgy look.
The leather belts with a leather bag gave this soft mint green look a bit of an edge. We wish she would have opted for a different clutch, but the dress looks amazing on her.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade make marriage look good.
The couple color-coordinated their looks, with Gabby wearing a stunning white gown and her hubby wearing a matching blazer. We really love these two together. They make the perfect pair.
Olivia Wilde went all black.
We love the contrast of the heavy, all-black gown with the lightness of her hair. The plunging neckline gives a little hint of flirty to an otherwise conservative look.
Tracee Ellis Ross was a golden goddess.
She can honestly do no wrong. The Black-ish star has proved to be a queen of style over the years, and this look solidifies that title for her.
Gal Gadot nailed it.
Her Oscars look might have not been the best out of the bunch, but she went for a simpler, chicer look for the after-party, and this is more like it.
Nicky Hilton Rothschild gave us so much old Hollywood glam.
We love this champagne color; it is flattering on almost every skin tone. Paired with the updo and the way it fits her, this is definitely a winning look.
Rashida Jones kept it simple.
A plain black dress could be boring, but the design around her neck makes this look a standout.
