People have been talking a lot of smack on Twitter about Kendall Jenner and her visible acne from pics at the Golden Globes earlier this week. The comments were cruel, distasteful and frankly quite unnecessary–especially considering how normal acne is for everyone. But god forbid a celebrity hits up a red carpet with a less than flawless complexion. Fortunately, one Twitter user was quick to shut the negativity down and Kendall's response was everything.

The cruelty on the internet is hard to process sometimes. People went in, going as far as saying that Kendall should be doing whatever possible to manage and eliminate her acne.
One jerk even tried to imply that Kendall's acne could be a result of dairy and her love of pizza and ice cream. It was insanely mean and it's crazy that people would be so focused on a few little breakouts when Kendall looked absolutely stunning at the Golden Globe! But fortunately another Twitter follower shut it down.

High five to Kendall's response of it all though!
Kendall Jenner's s response to the BS was great.
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
Kendall has opened up about her acne struggles in the past.
The 22-year-old model’s skin problems started in the 8th or 9th grade. “Where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it. It completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn’t even look at people when I talked to them,” Kendall wrote on her blog that's no longer up. “I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face. Sure, I had crushes in high school, but I wouldn’t even think about looking at guys.”
It might be hard to believe sometimes, but celebrities really are just like us. Here’s a look at a few other celebs who have gotten real about owning their imperfections.
Denise Bidot has been refreshingly honest about her stretch marks.
“Perfect day for the pool. Learning to love my body more and more each day,” she captioned this photo. “I never thought I’d wear a bikini that wasn’t high waisted after having my daughter, but here I am, at 30, embracing all of me. Strech marks, no thigh gap, happiness. Life is what you make of it ladies, let’s just learn to be happy, in the end that’s all that matters. So I’m posting this to show that no one is perfect and that’s ok. No filter, no retouching, just me,” she wrote. So powerful!
Ashley Graham is unapologetic about her cellulite.
“I workout. I do my best to eat well. I love the skin I’m in,” she wrote. “And I’m not ashamed of a few lumps, bumps, or cellulite … and you shouldn’t be either.” Amen to that!
Selena Gomez has embraced her post-surgery scar.
“I do. I didn’t, but I do now,” she told Billboard in regards to feeling comfortable with her scar. “It was really hard in the beginning. I remember looking at myself in the mirror completely naked and thinking about all the things that I used to bitch about and just asking, ‘Why?’ I had someone in my life for a very long time who pointed out all the things that I didn’t feel great about with myself. When I look at my body now, I just see life. There are a million things I can do–lasers and creams and all that stuff–but I’m OK with it.”
Hilary Duff proudly showed off her cellulite to haters last year.
Her message was inspiring and such a great example of self-love. “I am posting this on behalf of young girls, women, and mothers of all ages. I’m enjoying a vacation with my son after a long season of shooting and being away from him for weeks at a time over those months,” she wrote on Instagram. “Since websites and magazines love to share ‘celeb flaws’–well I have them! My body has given me the greatest gift of my life: Luca, 5 years ago. I’m turning 30 in September and my body is healthy and gets me where I need to go. Ladies, let’s be proud of what we’ve got and stop wasting precious time in the day wishing we were different, better, and unflawed. You guys (you know who you are!) already know how to ruin a good time, and now you are body shamers as well. #kissmyass.” Well said!
Kylie Jenner is proud of her huge thigh scar.
Apparently she got the scar when she was 5 while playing hide and seek with her sister Kendall. She’s not ashamed of it at all. She posted this photo on IG showing it off with the caption: “I love my scar.”
Mindy Kaling is not ashamed of her adult acne.
“That zit cream in your 30s life. At least I’m not going on the Tonight Show later today,” she captioned this photo.
Emma Stone has struggled with acne herself.
“I’m actually pretty interested in skin care, because I had bad hormonal acne when I was 17, and they put me on Accutane for it,” Emma told Refinery29. “After two months on the Accutane, I went off of it, and since then, my skin, my mouth, my lips, my eyes are all so dry.” But it didn’t end there. Emma later developed “stress acne” when she was filming Easy A. They had to video air-brush her acne out of the movie. “But I realized how debilitating and embarrassing it can be to have cystic acne," she added.
