The best & worst dressed at the VMAs 2017 red carpet

MTV's yearly Video Music Awards always seem to bring out the best and many times the worst of celebs' fashion style–and the 2017 edition of the VMAs were no different. This year the looks just didn't wow. Honestly, the styles wore by some of the world's biggest music stars to the Forum in Los Angeles was mostly a disaster, with the exception of our favorite Latinas like Demi Lovato (who totally slayed!) and Alessandra Ambrosio. Check out our gallery and you'll see what I mean.

The Mexican American singer rocked in this Zuhair Murad ensemble that looks like it came right out of One Thousand and One Nights. Her entire outfit–down to the sexy nude top–and her hair and makeup were perfect. Demi was the best dressed by far.

Christina Milian looked classic and gorgeous.

Christina Milian wore a Dennis Basson dress that looked like it was draped around her.

Alessandra Ambrosio looked like a futuristic goddess.

Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane Hansen and Ally Brooke also had a big night. They won Best Pop Video for the song "Down," beating out Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus.

Surprisingly, they also performed and shocked their fans after throwing serious shade at Camila Cabello. They started with a mysterious fifth member who dramatically fell off the stage when they started singing. Seriously!

Amber Rose looked amazing in her Yousef Aljasmi gown.

But it was her hair what got more attention. She was almost unrecognizable without her cropped mane.

Mexican American singer Jessica Andrea had the best accessory.

Her husband, the rapper Logic, was her date and they looked adorable together.

Katy Perry was the host of the night.

She wore different looks throughout the show, but the best was this Stephane Rolland gown. However, I can't not mention the fact that the dress seemed to be made for somebody with smaller boobs, don't you agree?

Nicki Minaj's outfit was not my favorite.

Too pink, too tight, too camel toe?

Miley Cyrus went for an Elvis look.

Her Moschino outfit was an amazing throwback to The King.

Miley Cyrus' parents now have another daughter to worry about during red carpets.

While Miley seems to have evolved from the weird stage she went through a few years ago, her little sister Noah seems to be entering that same realm. God help us.

Vanessa Hudgens chose a fierce scarlet dress by Yanina Couture.

This is a case of love it or hate it. How do you feel about this dress? I didn't like it on her.

Paris Jackson shocked in Christian Dior.

Yes, we are in an underwear-as-clothes era, but where would you wear a dress like this? Michael Jackson's daughter did deliver an amazing speech though. It was a message to racists: "We have zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred and their discrimination," Jackson said. YES!
