It's not every day you find a drugstore mascara that does exactly what you want it to do. I've been writing about beauty for almost 10 years now, and I had yet to find a mascara that gives me the same–if not better–results than some of my favorite fancy mascaras. I have naturally long, thick lashes already so when it comes to shopping for mascaras, I look for big, bold, and dramatic fringes. The kind that's easily captured in a selfie and often confused for falsies. The L'Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara gives you those kinds of results. I kid you not.

I've had a few mascara formulas on rotation for the past few years. I tend to go back and forth between award-winning, Lancôme Définicils ($28), (which I've been using since high school) and Too Faced's Better Than Sex Mascara ($23).
Both of these extremely buildable mascaras provide extreme volume and length, resulting in the kind of dramatic eye look that stops traffic. Okay, maybe not traffic, but quite a few women have stopped me in the street to ask me if my lashes were real and what mascara I use. I think that counts for a lot.
In fact, Too Faced's Better Than Sex Mascara has practically become a must-have staple in my makeup bag. It's a holy grail I practically couldn't live without. That was before I was introduced to the L'Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara which costs half the price of Lancôme Définicils or Too Faced's Better Than Sex.

At only $10, the L'Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise provides the same voluptuous volume and intense length as my cult favorites. The formula is so smooth is doesn't dry out my lashes. It also doesn't clump, or smudge (like the former formulas) and the soft wavy brush is everything. Honestly, where has this thing been my whole life?

And not only are the results the same, but like I mentioned before, the L'Oréal mascara doesn't clump, or smudge and it also doesn't leave my lashes brittle. I started touching them hours later and they were still super soft. Sold yet?
