I remember the days when Kim Kardashian used to pile on the makeup. That was before she made clean, natural-looking makeup her signature look. All these years of glamming up and working with the pros has morphed Kim into an expert in her own right. By now you've probably heard that she's even dropping her own line of cream contouring and highlighting kits. It's about time. But what really has me amazed is how much faster it now takes Kim to put on a full face–five minutes!

Who can forget the days when Kim used to sculpt her face with tons of contouring and highlighting lines. She got normal girls to contour before they even really understood what contouring was. But these days she's sporting a much more fresh-faced look. She's gone through a lot of dramatic changes this past year and her new look is reflective of that.

"About a year ago is when [my beauty routine] changed. I'll look back at photos and be like, 'Oh my god, I can't believe I had that much makeup on, or that much under-eye powder and concealer," she told Refinery29. "We definitely went for it, and that was so fun at the time, but my look has evolved. I wanted a fresher, dewier look and I really didn't have time."

Kim will never be the type to abandon beauty and grooming, she just simplified things. Apparently now it only takes her about "five minutes to get ready before leaving the house." In fact, her new cosmetic line KKW Beauty, reflects her new minimalistic beauty philosophy.

"I knew that I wanted to do a line that was really representative of the makeup that I wear now which, I think is a little different that what I've worn over the years: It's just a little bit more minimal, about your skin," she told Marie Claire. "Especially now that I'm a mom, I don't have that much time. When I'm not actually getting my makeup done, what do I do? I have my makeup bag–it takes me literally five minutes to do my full makeup and I would always start with contour. Contour has always been my thing."

Kim's fashion changes had a lot to do with why she decided to go simpler with her hair and makeup. "You can't really have a full stylist [and] wardrobe makeover and keep the same hair and makeup," she told Marie Claire. "I think it was just evolving and realizing I don't want to wear that much makeup. Especially when you're on the go, whether you're a mom, whether you're just working, whether you're in school [and] you only have a little bit of time. I know I always wanna be bronze-y and feel a little bit contoured without looking completely overboard." In fact, Kim even admits to sometimes skipping out on foundation and just using contour sticks and blending it all in.
