The things women do in the name of beauty! I'm all for microblading eyebrows but "freckling" is a tad bit much. Haven't heard of it? Well, it's technically a semi-permanent way to get natural-looking freckles all with the help of tattooing. It's one thing to be born with adorable freckles, but it's another thing to pay hundreds of dollars to have them!

Women are getting freckles tattooed onto their faces.
Apparently, Montreal-based cosmetic tattoo artist Gabrielle Rainbow is the one behind the “freckling” treatment. The hour-long procedure is recommended for clients who normally develop freckles in the summer due to sun exposure but want them all year long. Rainbow charges $250 for the treatment which lasts up to three years. “They will fade naturally with time, and if you wish to keep them you can always get the color boosted whenever you like,” Rainbow told New Beauty.
Face cupping makes you look younger.
Similar to cupping therapy, the facial cupping treatment uses heated silicone cups that help to suction or drain lymph nodes or inflammation found in the face. It also helps tighten up your facial muscles, resulting in a younger, relaxed and rejuvenated look. "The facial muscles work as hard as the rest of the muscles, so facial cupping can help alleviate the effects of stress,” Santa Monica Beauty Park nurse Jamie Sherrill tells Marie Claire. And don’t worry about face marks on your face. It’s apparently “less aggressive” than cupping therapy.
Women are using tape to look younger.
Earlier this year a Facebook video showing a quick trick to getting a younger, slimmer-looking neck went viral. The video featured women applying tape to the back of their necks to tighten neck wrinkles and fat. Crazy thing is it doesn’t even really work–not long term anyway. “Here’s the thing, it’s just tape. You could do this with duct tape if you want,” Dr. Douglas MD, told New Beauty. “This is what movie actresses did in the 30’s and 40’s, they just pulled the skin and taped it. They probably used duck tape or some kind of tape that the production crew had. That’s all it is.”
Women are putting donkey milk on their faces.
This stuff is known for leaving skin super smooth, soothing and gentle–perfect for sensitive skin. According to aesthetician and CEO of Korean beauty site, Peach and Lily, Alicia Yoon, it’s packed with four to five times more vitamin C than cow milk. It’s also rich in protein as well as soothing properties that help calm sensitive skin and even eczema.
Women are bleaching their vaginas to make them pinker.
Some women don’t like having a brown vagina, even if the rest of their body does happen to be brown. Weird, I know! A new Indian product called "Clean and Dry Intimate Wash" is designed specifically to give you a nice, white vag. Seriously, WTF?!
Urine therapy is a real anti-aging thing.
Yes, it is just as gross as it sounds. This ancient practice of orally consuming one’s urine was used to help heal the body, whether of diseases or to ward off wrinkles. What?! Some locas today even massage 4-day-old urine on their skin and scalp to help condition hair and deeply hydrate their bodies. What the heck is wrong with people?
Vagina "Barbie" surgery is horrifying but real.
As if women weren’t already completely obsessed with their vaginas, now there’s a plastic surgery out there that will leave yours looking just like Barbie’s. What does that mean exactly? The entire labia minora (the lips of a woman’s vulva) are removed so that the outside of your vag pretty much looks as smooth as a Barbie’s dolls. Now, why would someone think that’s a good idea?
Butt facials are just like what they sound like.
Because apparently getting facials for your face just isn’t enough. Similar to a traditional facial, butt facials cleanses, exfoliates, and moisturizes. They also take it one step further by de-blemishing and massaging your ass to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Snake massages are supposedly good for you.
In Israel spa gurus like to use non-venomous snakes to help massage their client’s backs. The snake kneading and trembling apparently helps relax muscles and support blood circulation. Sounds more like torture to me.
Leech detox treatments don't sound worth it.
Women have traveled to Austria where private "leech therapy" sessions are performed. You pretty much get naked, shave your body and let leeches suck your blood. This treatment is designed to "detox" your blood and restore youthfulness. Just the thought of this is making me woozy!
Vaginal rejuvenation surgery is pretty intense.
Of course there’s a surgery out there designed to make your vagina look and "feel like a virgin" again, because every woman out there is just dying to relive that tight and painful first time experience. Yippy!
Chinese fire treatment is crazy dangerous.
This widely practiced Chinese beauty treatment is used to help relax your muscles and to heal swelling, rashes, aches, or pains. A wet towel is first placed onto the affected area, followed by a sprinkling of alcohol. Then once everything is set the towel is then lit up into flames. Um … how the heck is this relaxing?
Horse oil sounds like a mess.
Horse oil is another strange beauty product women seem to be using these day. It's used in skincare and is supposedly super lightweight and non-greasy.
Vaginal facial seems so unnecessary.
Vaginal facials have become the hottest beauty trend these days. So much so, women are even doing DIY versions of it at home using coconut oil, vitamin E cream, honey and egg whites. Sorry, but I refuse to put egg whites anywhere near my vag!
