Let's face it, regardless of all the beautiful hairstyle ideas that are out there, not all of them work for everybody. In fact, I've seen quite a few that would in no shape or form work for my thick and naturally curly strands. I've also seen styles that I'd never in a million years have the skills to recreate on my own. For this reason, I searched high and low for some hairspo that not only works for a number of different hair lengths and textures, but that are actually easy to achieve at home. Here's a look at some gorgeous looks to try for your next holiday party!

Rock a braid part.
Braided hairstyles have been in for a while and they aren’t going anywhere. Best part is they work for all hair textures. Take Camila Alves’ gorgeous braid at the 20th Annual Hollywood Film Awards. Celebrity hairstylist and groomer, Kristin Heitkotter, started off by working with Camila’s natural curls. She enhanced them and added definition by wrapping curls around the T3 Whirl Trio Wand ($270) and then parted hair to the side. On one side she left curls alone and then on the other she braided in a small braid. She used the Orlando Pita Play Gloss Up Polishing Cream ($26) and the Orlando Pita Max Capacity Hybrid Hairspray ($28) to keep the look in place.
Or try a side braid.
For a simpler style you can always go with an easy-to-do side braid. It works for most textures and lengths, is super easy to achieve, and gives off a casual yet elegant vibe. I love the way this look complimented Dasha Polanco’s golden highlights.
Go for classic loose waves.
Soft, loose waves is the perfect pic for the girl with naturally straight hair who wants to achieve a more glamorous look with minimal effort. To replicate Jessica Alba’s style, wrap a 1 1/2-inch curly wand around 1-inch sections of dry hair. Then gently run your fingers through to give it more of a natural-looking wave.
Be free with your natural curls.
For the girl who would rather let her natural curls be, try boosting up the volume by drying with a diffuser. Try scrunching sections of curls in between using either a T-shirt, microfiber towel or the DevaGloves ($20) to prevent frizz.
Pull yourself together with a high pony.
Jennifer Lopez has made the high ponytail practically part of her signature style and who could blame her? It gives off a look that’s both fresh and sophisticated. To keep flyaways and pelitos in place, apply Ojon Rare Blend Tamer ($24) to frizzy strands. It works wonders without leaving hair sticky.
Please try the half up half down style.
The half up-half down style is all the rave this season and it looks great on various textures from thick straight hair, to wavy hair, and lose curly hair like Adrienne Bailon’s. All you have to do is part hair in two different sections and pull the top half into a high ponytail – that’s it!
Try rocking a turban.
Eva Mendes is all about the turban trend and it’s especially great during the colder seasons. Not only does it look chic, but it keeps your head warm, and works as the perfect accessory to help cover an otherwise bad hair day.
Do big waves on short hair.
Who says loose waves only look good on long hair? They actually add volume to shoulder length or shorter strands, like Demi Lovato’s. Try wrapping 1 -2 inch sections of hair around a curling wand for a similar effect.
Be bold with a high braid.
There’s a reason why people went crazy over Beyonce’s ultra-long braid this fall and that’s because it’s nothing less than fabulous. It’s also super easy to do. Simply pull hair into a tight high ponytail and then braid in a hair extension for extra length, the same way you would do a normal braid. Secure ends with a clear elastic and voilà!
Get fab with a pompadour look.
If you’re looking to really glam things up a notch, try Chiquis Rivera’s sleek back pompadour style. Use a teaser brush to build volume at the crown.
You can never go wrong with a high bun.
A high bun literally works for any hair type and any length. You can even amp things up with a cute hair accessory like Lupita Nyong’o used here.
Yes, you can do beach waves.
Beachy waves aren’t just for summer. If you’re going for that boho look, divide clean, damp hair into four sections and braid. Leave overnight and in the morning expect, loose gorgeous waves like Zoe Saldana’s.
