Go for stretch

Alba wants women to know what to look for when shopping for jeans. “You want some stretch so they hold everything together," she told Glamour.
Avoid small pockets

When looking for the perfect pair of jeans, Alba also suggests to avoid small pockets. "They make your backside look weird," she says to the magazine.
Do go for a high-waisted cut

High-waisted jeans are no longer a style miss. "I like them to hit at the belly button so you get the nice roundness of the booty," the star told Glamour.
Please don't show butt crack

Alba may be all about embracing her sexiness, but she never shows too much. "Cover your business," she recommends.
Do wash them properly

If you're going to splurge on a good pair of jeans, (Alba's run for $170 a pair), make sure you wash them properly. "I’m the wash-cold inside-out and hang-dry type," she says.
Don't just zip and go

Alba has another trick to look fab in jeans. “Once they’re buttoned and zipped, I always do a squat. It puts everything in a comfortable place," she reveals. Good to know!
Do mix high and low fashion

Alba loves to play with different looks and never just goes for the high-end styles. "Even if you're in a designer look, if you have one [more casual piece] that brings everything down, then you look effortless," her stylist Emily Current told Us Magazine.
