Kim Kardashian must have needed at least two cars to leave her maternity suite at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The reality TV star live streamed on her website videos of all the flower arrangements she received … and let me tell you, there were many, many. She also shared her new mom Christmas wish list and while some are good ideas, the list made me realize, she is definitely nothing like the rest of us.

Personalized stationery
This very personal gift from Crane & Co. is cute, but for $97, I'd rather skip. Nothing wrong with non-personalized stationery!
Pajamas
Regardless of the price–these from Kim's list are by Bed Head and they're $140–PJs are a great idea. The problem I had when I just gave birth, was finding the time to take a nice shower.
Skin cleansing system
This state-of-the art electronic cleansing system from Clarisonic at Sephora is so advanced, it's $149 and not very useful. I can just see it in the junk drawer or with the sexy underwear that no new mom wants to see for a while.
Roses
Oh no, $130 for roses from Roseshire? No. Get me something useful. That won't die!
Face cream
This SK-II Cellumination Cream EX is awesome, but at $160 from Sephora, I can't imagine how to justify the expense.
Hydration
Giving birth and breastfeeding is quite dehydrating. Kate Sommerville Quench Hydrating Face Serum, which is $75 at Sephora, really helps your skin regain some moisture fast. But, honestly, nothing can substitute drinking lots of water!
Jewelry
This Naomi Gray necklace is adorable, but at almost $600, I can think of a few drawbacks … Like, how do you wear several if you have more than one child? It's going to get confusing!
Robe
This cashmere robe from Bloomingdale's looks like a soft, cushy dream, but at $300, I'd be worried about poop, puke or breast milk stains on it. No new mom needs that stress!
Cheek gel?
Expensive (at $39 from Barneys New York!) and for a new mom? I just don't see it. Maybe she is thinking holiday party, but still.
Diffuser
I am a fan of aromatherapy, but this Dytique "Roses" Hourglass Diffuser from Nordstrom seems to be a major waste of money for $150. Sorry. Plus what can beat the new baby smell?
Layette
Do you know how many onesies you can buy with the $188 this Hatch bag costs? Close to 20!
A ring
I love this Selin Kent ring, but I would never ever wear it around a baby. And for $850, I don't think so. What as she thinking?
Lip balm
I wouldn't spend over $100 on lip balm, even if I had the money! I know it's this super luxe Shiffa brand, but still! Obviously I am very far from being a Kardashian.
A blow dry session
A gift certificate from DryBar is actually a GREAT idea and would be welcome at any time, not just Christmas. Good one Kim!
Massage
My mind just wandered thinking of how good a massage would feel right now. Unfortunately it's so out of my price range that I can do nothing but dream. This one Kim is wishing for is a three-pack from Zeel.
