We all know beauty trends come and go, but there are some that really never should have been "a thing" in the first place. I'm all for trying new trends and I often find myself exploring unique looks. The difference is that I'm not willing to look like a ridiculous freak for the sake of a new fad. Here are the most horrific beauty trends out there and I'm sure we're all guilty of at least committing one of these!

Metallic lips
Metallic lipstick may look cool in photos, but imagine going to work or hitting up a restaurant with this look! I rather stick to red, pink and coral colors.
Looking sick with makeup
The new makeup fad in Japan is getting a make-under instead of a makeover. Girls are looking sick using cosmetics and it's just really weird.
Spider lashes
There's nothing wrong with wearing fake eyelashes, but the spider lashes are just so strange! Full and natural is always best!
Dramatically faking a full lip
The Kardashians are known for starting trends, but the dramatic fake full lip trend seriously has to go. Kylie Jenner looks way better with her natural lips.
Fish pedicures
A good old fashion foot scrub sounds way more appealing than getting your dry skin chewed off by little fish. No wonder it's banned in the U.S. No thank you!
Bright ombre eye shadow
The ombre look may be popular with hair, but the same doesn't go for bright makeup. Do not try this at home.
Crazy contouring
Kim Kardashian was one of the celebrity pioneers to the contouring trend, but now it seems a little too excessive. Why do people need to look like they bought a whole new face?
Really short bangs
Beyonce tried to bring back short bangs for a short period, but thankfully it didn't last very long. I can forgive her for this though!
Half-shaved heads
Sure, the look is edgy, but there are very few women like Cassie Ventura who can pull it off! You have to have a great shaped head and be patient enough to deal with your hair growing back.
Overdrawn eyebrows
I'll never understand why women overdraw their eyebrows to this extreme. It should not look like a spoon or a sad face. Natural is always best!
