Eva Mendes turns 41 today! The Cuban actress still looks like she's in her 30's and I love that about her. The new mom's style has gotten even better since giving birth to her daughter with Ryan Gosling, Esmeralda. I personally think all moms should take note on her chic and classic looks. Mendes isn't afraid of color and vintage silhouettes, but her style wasn't always what it is now. She used to wear way more risqué outfits, which led to a few fashion fails she may not be proud of. We are taking a look at her style transformation and revealing the good, the bad and, yes, the not-so-cute.

2015
Just a few months after giving birth to Esmeralda, Mendes was photographed in this stylish plaid dress. She looks amazing!
2014
During this event, Mendes was already expecting a baby and hiding the bump. This is the best stylish dress to do it in!
2013
Mendes was photographed rocking some of her pieces from New York & Co. I love the floral dress paired with the long pink cardigan. So chic!
2012
Mendes wore a funky look with polka-dots and a bright orange colored gown at the MET gala. She stands out!
2011
This is when Mendes's red carpet style really started to shine after a couple of mishaps. The sheer lace and classic black color is perfection!
2010
The color and pattern made Mendes pop on the red carpet, her style is really unique by this point.
2009
This is a more conservative look compared to the Latina star's previous outfits. The material and shape of the dress just seems off. Not one of her best looks.
2008
I'm not sure if it's the color or the cut of the dress, but this isn't one of Mendes's best looks. Those look like elf shoes, no?
2007
Mendes knew early on how to dress like a red carpet diva. This leopard-print dress is dramatic and over-the-top, but looks perfect on her! I doubt she would wear something like this now though.
2006
The Cuban star was all about showing off her bombshell status on the red carpet back then. The red dress and low-cut neckline was definitely a sexy combination!
2005
Mendes was a fan of denim, but was still figuring out how to coordinate a more glam style. That satin baby blue blazer was a mistake.
2004
The birthday girl still hadn't honed her own style just yet. She was a jeans and classic button-down top kind of girl.
2003
Nothing says granny style like a long skirt and a turtle neck. Mendes was super covered up back in the day!
1998
Mendes played a bridesmaid in Night at the Roxbury and wore a bright purple dress that should've been burned. At least we have the same facial expression about this!
1992
Even in a young Mendes we could see her stylish beginnings. She was a fashionable high school student in Glendale, California. Her dress looks like it's from the 1960's not the 1990's.
