Sofia Vergara cracks me up on a regular basis and not for the stuff that comes out of her mouth when she's playing Gloria on Modern Family, but for the stuff that comes out of her mouth when she's just being her. For example, the 42-year-old actress recently said in an interview, "If you said applying cement around my eyes would stop wrinkles, I would do it." I know she's joking–I hope–but I also know there is some truth to the humor because many of us are willing to try crazy things to prevent wrinkles. Fortunately we don't have to because there are much saner and safer ways to fight wrinkles. Check out these five easy ways to fight wrinkles that have NOTHING to do with cement.

1. Sunscreen. No matter what time of year it is, if the sun is out, you should be wearing sun protection, think of it not only as protection from the damaging effects of the sun and as a way to prevent skin cancer, but also as wrinkle protection.
2. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. By now I would think that everyone and even their abuelo knows that to keep your skin dewy and youthful, you need to moisturize it RELIGIOUSLY. There are some great and affordable skin care products on the market, find one that works for you and treat your skin nice!
3. Silk or satin pillow cases. How fancy! Not only do they feel great against your skin, silk and satin pillow cases help you wake up looking younger because you won't have creases on your face and they alleviate the pressure between your beautiful face and your pillow.
4. Diet. There are lots of foods that are said to prevent wrinkles, like bone broth. Yup, caldo made from animal bones is said to be a wrinkle-fighter and is used by celebrities like Gwenyth Paltrow to maintain a youthful appearance. Oh, and supposedly it can also help you lose weight. Nice!
5. Sleep. Your body (which includes your skin) need rest to look and feel it's best. Not sleeping enough will age you before your time. So get some rest and wake up looking younger!
