Thanksgiving inspired mani in 5 easy steps

With Thanksgiving only a day away I'm already overwhelmed with the zillion and five things I need to do. Between the cooking and all the hosting, it's easy to forget to find time to get yourself pretty and polished. So to keep myself in good spirits I've decided to give myself a super-adorable fall-inspired manicure. This autumn leaves nail art look from Jin Soon Choi looks pretty darn appropriate to me. And it's actually a lot easier to nail (pun intended) than you'd think!

You don't have to be a seriously talented manicurist to achieve a cool turkey-tracing design like this. Jin Soon Choi shared some of easy-to-follow tips to help you do this festive look at home! Now get ready to celebrate one of the best holidays of the year with  this cool, inspiring design!

Step 1: Start off by filing nails into a round or oval shape. Then apply a base coat. I like Essie First Base Base Coat ($9). It helps create a nice, smooth canvas.

Step 2: Apply two coats of a pink beige or nude polish, like JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Nostalgia ($18).

Step 3: Then on 3 fingers, draw the shapes of leaves using rose, blue, and bright orange polishes. I recommend Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer in Shocking, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer in RX, NARS Nail Polish in Hunger ($20).

Step 4: Use a thin brush and draw the stem of the leaf first using gently, quick strokes on each side of the stem at a slight diagonal. I recommend a black polish like Wet N Wild Shine Nail Color in Black Crème ($1).

Step 5: Finish the look with a top coat, like OPI RapiDry Top Coat ($14).
