Egg whites aren't just good for supporting your health and losing weight but they're skin-friendly too. Egg whites contain a special form of protein, called albumin that helps tighten your pores, smooth your skin and clear black blackheads. While the yolk is rich in more proteins, vitamins, natural antioxidants and amino fatty acids, which helps improve skin's elasticity and its ability to retain moisture. Not sure how to use them? Here are 3 super-simple ways to use eggs in your beauty regimen!
Make a face mask: For a brighter, more even complexion try whipping up a DIY egg and lemon mask. Take egg white from one egg and whip it until it creates a fluffy consistency. Then squeeze in 1/4 of a lemon and then add 1 teaspoon of rosewater. Apply this mask to your face and let it sit for 15 minutes (making sure it doesn't go in your eyes). Then rinse out with lukewarm water.
Wash your face with it: Apparently everyone is going nuts over a Swedish white facial soap. This thing costs 5 bucks and apparently works wonders. But if you want to make your own version, simply take egg white from one egg and mix it with 1 teaspoon of rosewater, gently massage on your face before rinsing.
Lighten dark spots: I found this amazing milk and egg white facial mask recipe that helps to reduce redness on your face as well as lighten dark spots. All you have to do is crack open an eye, collect the egg white and then had milk and honey (optional) to it. Apply it to your face and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
