10 Beauty products you should not waste your money on​

Alright, ladies. Time to fess up: How many of you have a graveyard of barely-used creams, serums, and potions collecting dust at the back of your beauty drawer? Don't be ashamed. We all do. The fact of the matter is, the billion dollar cosmetic industry does a fantastic job of making us believe we need a slew of "miracle" beauty products when we really don't. In fact, most of beauty products being hawked are totally useless. Sorry.

The truth is, most of us need cosmetic companies' "miracle" products like we need a hole in the wallet–which is to say, not at all. So save your hard-earned money for something that really works, like stress-relieving chocolate or a fab new vibrator, and ditch these 10 money-sucking beauty duds ASAP!

Toner

Back in the day, toner was used to eliminate that icky, soapy residue old school cleansers left behind. Nowadays most cleansers are formulated so that they don’t leave that gross residue behind, making toners pretty much obsolete. Skip it.

Shaving cream

Shaving cream isn't the only thing that'll ensure you get a close shave. Hair conditioner and creamy body washes do just as good a job.

Lip balm

Addicted to the "stick"? There's a reason for that. Some lip balms contain alcohol, which can (and will) dry out your lips, making them appear chapped. Ugh! You're better off using plain petroleum jelly.

Eye cream

Eye cream doesn't do anything your regular face cream can't do. Unless your eyes are sensitive to your day-to-day face cream, feel free to spread the lotion-y goodness all the way up to your eyes.

Cellulite eliminating cream

Hate to break it to you, but you can rub and scrub and buff all you want, but those dimples ain't going anywhere. The fact of the matter is, cellulite is incurable. Sorry, chicas.

Foot cream

Skin is skin, whether it's on your elbows or on your feet. Want to get rid of those rough patches of skin on your heels? Use a pumice to slough off dead skin, then slather on whatever cream you typically use on your elbows and knees. Top with socks, and let the lotion work its magic.

Studies have shown that sunscreen with an SPF of 30 blocks about 97 percent of ultraviolet rays. Anything touting a higher SPF is just a tube full of lies; they provide the same coverage as SPF 30, but cost way more.
