Ay, pobre Mariah Carey! Things have been rough for the diva over the last few months. In addition to dealing with what I'm sure is a tumultuous divorce from her estranged husband Nick Cannon, the woman has been giving some of the worst live performances of her career. This weekend was no different. During a rain-soaked concert in Perth, Australia, the 44-year-old singer suffered her biggest performance faux pas so far, strutting the stage looking a hot, sloppy mess, and telling the audience a little TMI about the state of her current love life. Ay, chica!

We all know Mariah has a thing for tight, slinky dresses and no one can fault her for it. The mujer has a cuerpazo to rival all others. Why wouldn't she want to show it off? Pero, the curvaceous diva committed the ultimate fashion crime this weekend when she strutted her stuff in a teeny-tiny low-cut gold corseted mini dress, paired with a strappy gold sandals and, te lo juro, a lone metallic glove on her right hand. Oh, for fashion's sake! Listen, I'm not knocking the 44-year-old mami of two for wearing a revealing dress. Hey, more power to her for embracing her amazing bod. Pero, everyone and their mami knows that thou shalt not wear anything that reveals both T and A at the same time. It looks sloppy. It seriously looks like your body is trying to reject whatever item of clothing you're wearing, like a bad heart.
And speaking of bad hearts, it seems like Mimi's is still on the mend. Mariah kinda, sorta, opened up about her love life during her performance of Barbara Streisand and Donna Summer's duet "No More Tears (Enough is Enough)," singing "It's raining, it's pouring, my love life is boring me to tears, after all these years." Hmmm, is she trying to tell us something? One could argue that perhaps the diva was using the gloomy lyrics to reflect on her split from estranged husband Nick Cannon. After all, Nick has been seen gallivanting around town with numerous women since the couple's split this summer. Meanwhile, she hasn't spotted with anyone. Not that she needs un clavo to remove el otro.
Listen, I'm proud of Mariah for throwing herself into work as opposed to throwing herself onto the next dude. But if she doesn't feel like she can't keep her personal life separate from her professional life, then perhaps she should take some time to deal with her personal issues, away from the limelight. There's no shame in that. We've all been in her shoes at some point in our lives. However, most of us don't have the added stress of having the whole world watching our marriage (and ill-fitting dresses!) fall apart at the seams. That can't be easy. My advice to Mariah would be to not take on more than she can handle. If being on stage is too stressful, then she needs to take a step back. Mimi, girl, just focus on yourself and your twins, Monroe and Moracco. The stage will be there waiting for you when you get back. As will your fans.
