There are some seriously insensitive people on this planet and the fools behind the new "Sexy Ebola Nurse Costume" are just a few of them. Yes, you read that right. There's a Sexy Ebola Nurse Costume selling all over the internet and I can hardly believe it myself. Ebola is a real and VERY deadly disease folks, not something you can just poke fun at and turn into a skanky Halloween getup. I've seen inappropriate and offensive costumes before, but this one has gone too far. Wait until you see this stupid thing!

I was pretty furious when I heard about the Sexy Ebola Nurse Costume. I don't know what's worse, this or the blackface Ray Rice Halloween outfit everyone seems to be joking about these days. Seriously, who in their right mind would think this is okay? According to Al Jazeera, the death toll from Ebola has risen to 4,922 in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone combined. One American citizen has died, two nurses were infected while caring for a dying patient and are fortunately now free of the virus, but still. This has been a huge health scare for everyone. And those two nurses could have lost their lives. To make a joke out of it isn't just insensitive, it's ignorant and it's straight up stupid!
Sadly enough, there are actually two versions of this insulting getup. There's one called the Sexy Ebola Nurse Costume that includes a yellow hazmat dress, hazmat leggings, safety goggles and a prop gas mask. And there's the Sexy Ebola Containment Suit, which features a short white dress, a face shield, breathing mask, goggles and blue latex gloves. Notice that each costume has to include a short, sexy dress. Honestly, how is this funny?
It's really sad to live in a world where people's suffering seems to amuse others. The fact that it would even cross someone's mind to create or buy a costume like this is sickening–shame on them! I bet you if one of those nurses that was infected by the disease were a close friend or family member of theirs they wouldn't be laughing, right?
